I found the comms from the Director and the landscape team from tender to project completion to be clear in all my dealings with the team and all members during the project were easy to deal with plus showed flexibility to work around the head contractors programme of earthworks. The site foreman drove the team to some respectable daily plant install numbers while maintaining a close eye on the quality – during my walks over the day’s work the plants were typically well healed in the ground offing them the best possible start and this was maintained throughout the various gardens and wetland areas. All in all, a pleasant hard-working team that deliver on the promise of a quality job.

VSL have been involved in the full Landscaping scope on the Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive project working with Oxcon.CLL. They have successfully completed the planting works, amidst challenging terrain and access restrictions to complete the work in time for our project opening. VSL responded well to our onsite requirements for both safety and quality and this was reflected in the final outcomes onsite. The VSL management team co-ordinated well with our team onsite to work together towards our project opening goal. The VSL team is now into full maintenance mode on the project and the planting is responding well to the teams efforts onsite, with positive feedback received from members of the public during every visit to the Pathway since opening.

VSL have been engaged by Fulton Hogan Ltd to undertake the landscaping soft works on SH20B early improvements project from July 2020.  The landscaping elements on this project were delivered to a high standard by VSL and the ongoing maintenance has been managed effectively to ensure the high standards have continued through this period of the project.  All VSL staff, management and nominated subcontractors have provided clear communication with a high level of job knowledge and professionalism. I would happily recommend them for similar projects.

Auckland Zoo engaged VSL Landscapes to undertake an upgrade to one of our play areas, incorporating nature play style features. VSL and their subcontractors had great communication, given our tricky environment they understood the need for the protocols we have in place and so were in constant communication throughout construction. VSL Landscapes are our “go-to” Landscape planting and maintenance subcontractor. We’ve completed several projects with VSL, most recently the $30m GI2TD Shared Path for Waka Kotahi of which they undertook over 3.5 Hectares of new native planting spread along 2.5km site, they are also carrying out the 5-year maintenance across the site. GI2TD is a difficult to access project, with challenging terrain and was adjacent to very dense weed and exotic species.
